Thanks for all the knowledge I learned from this forum & group...even though I never get to show up to meets. The few people I know are all awesome Evo owners. Why? Good luck out there. Btw... You need to back the Evo up and get more weight on the center of those axles. Not on the tailer tongue.

really? but wouldn't that make the butt of the car stick out? i pushed it back about half a fist length. but from what you guys are describing...it's almost like the lip of the car should be behind the lip of the trailer or the butt hanging out the rear of the trailer?

I found this.


According to u-haul, front tires go against the tire stops in the front. Plus, the front tire web is in a fixed location. Not a lot of options on where the front tires can go.

That said, ive never trailered a car before. Just showing what I found.

yeah, that's what i followed...but the weight distribution onto the axels of the trailer makes sense though.

another thing, the back of the armada sags down when i shut the engine off...but it has a tow package which has a "leveler" or air ride rear suspension that pumps the rear up when it starts to sag.

After towing boats, and big ones, for many years, you learn very quickly not to exceed the tongue weight of the tow vehicle. It's in your owners manual. Exceeding the tongue weight drastically lifts the front end of the tow vehicle and increases braking distance. I'm guessing that suv tongue capacity is 500 lbs max. You might be ok. Just check it.

the manual says maximum trailer tongue is 910lbs.

Its prob different in one of those Uhauls. Just read and do what they say.

I use those trailers often, and I put my front wheels all the way up to the stops.
