Looking for good tuner, MR - DFW

Hey guys,

I'm looking for someone who knows MRs pretty well. I want to run just the basic bolt ons (Stage 2 or 3 equiv). I don't really want to use the OTS maps because I've heard some horror stories of the newer 2013+ blowing engines.

I've had my GSR tuned at Cobb Plano, and thought about taking the MR to them but not sure since the SST seems like it might be more involved. What do people do when they "Tune" the trans? I'm happy with the shifting, but if I can prolong the life of it then I'm for it.

Edit: I guess SSP is now Kozmic Motorsports. They seem to hold lots of records now with MRs. Houston would be a trek but might be worth it. Anyone had their tunes?

I don't really feel comfortable doing E-Tunes.

Looking for input.

Thanks in advance!

You might also check out Evolution Dynamics in Lewisville. High Yelp ratings, for whatever stock you may put in that (I know some people who think it's all a scam : D )

I first recommend Evolution Dynamics as well, I always forget they are in TX.

Kevin is really knowledgeable with Evos, One of the best around for sure.

You have a couple of options right in your back yard! There is no need to travel to get your Evo tuned.

Both Cobb and Evolution Dynamics can tune your MR. There are many little details about the MR that require special knowledge so don't just take it to anybody that "tunes cars."

Get a list of stuff you plan on doing and talk to both shops about it. If you are free this Saturday, feel free to stop by Evolution Dynamics at 5pm for our open house and crawfish boil! We will have several Evo X MR's on display and we can discuss your options.

And just a warning, we will encourage you to take your car on the track (road race or AutoX) before you modify it. {thumbup}
