New To the Board

Hey Everyone,

Sup all, just got an Evo this past Friday. Loving it right now. I originally had an S2000, and they both have they advantages and disadvantages, but turbo...(drool) Anyway, anyone wanna give any tips to a newbie driver of the evo?

I'm looking for some blow-off valves right now. Anyone have any I can hear? Any suggestions about anything please do tell. Lets have a meet some time sooner than June 4th. I'm in Old Bridge,NJ so i know i'm close to a few of you. Anyway, hope to meet everyone soon.

Kareem

welcome aboard!! good choice going with the evo, you are going to love it.....anyway, i wouldnt go with a blow off valve as my first mod, it really doesnt do much, and if you vent to the atmospere you are going to have some issues...start off with an exhaust or a flash....good too see there are some more tri-state people, im from NY myself (monroe, about an hour north of the city, near the woodbury commons and west point)......once again, welcome

keep the stock intake, and get a drop in filter. Either keep the stock bov, or the mr valve, most of the others have alot of problems. Turbo back exhaust is one of the best mods, and so is a flash, and dont launch the car or something will get messed up, thats my adivce..

Thanks guys. I just love the way the turbo sounds and wanted someway to hear more of it, so I figured blow-off valve would help.

But, I talked to acouple of people and they told me if I get a blow-off valve, i'm prolly gonna stall alot until it gets tuned.

btw, doesnt a blow-off valve help your acceleration?

Can you hear a difference in the turbo with the drop-in filter? I'm not ready for exhaust yet, just had an s2000 with a spoon exhaust and kinda liking this quietness...for once.

Also, If i do a flash on a stock car, its going to change something without getting any parts?

Old Bridge Township,I am jealous, you can most likely walk to Raceway Park, hope you enjoy your car at your local racetrackHere is the easiest and cheapest way to get at least 30 extra whp and do nothing more than this if you like the stock, smooth, quiet drivability https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=129907 It is the best $199.00 you can spend on your car and he will most likely come to you as he goes to Raceway park often.

Turboback catless exhaust and a reflash would be my frist choice as first mods.
