Ok fellas,
Ever since I went down with the Ohio S2000 Club last year to SR26, I have wanted to piece together my own version. When Doug approached me about being involved with a Lancer/Evo club, I wanted to make sure that we made driving events apart of the inception. I would like to propose to you guys the opportunity to take a roadtrip down to the South-Eastern portion of Ohio the second to last weekend in May. Weather pending, we can leave in the morning and arrive in Marietta by mid afternoon. We would get lunch in town, wash our cars and return back home by the evening. Miata clubs are equating the drive to "THE DRAGON", so basically this is Ohios' less tame version. The Drive basically runs through the Wayne Nat'l. Forest, and runs along the Muskingum River (sp). When we arrive in Marietta, we will be on the boarder to WV. There will be 3 legal issues that need to be addressed if you are interested, so PM me with your questions.
So far I have atleast spoken to, and got some interest from the following Mitsu. and Suby members.
1) Evolvedmb = Mike - Evo
2) BlacksheepDJ = Doug - Lancer
3) BigMikeSTi = Big Mike - STi
4) dadriva = Bobby - Evo
5) Alexandru = Alexandru - Lancer
6) Deetz = Deetz - MR Evo
7) Quack = Don - WRX Wagon
8) HotShot = Matt - Turbo Lancer
9) LilJapnBoy = Eric - Evo
10) Scott or Matt = Switzer Performance Innovations - R32 Volkswagon
11) 4StarDrift = Coung - WRX
12) Slovak = John - Lancer
13) Nick32 = Nick - S2000 and Former Lersoc member w/Lancer
14) My friend Chuck and Brother - Black Firebird 400hp LS1 engine

Here is what the Miata club is saying about SR26! I am also going on the S2000 Ohio boards to see if any of them would be intersted, since they have experience in this drive.

Hey Doug, If only you and I are interested in going this year I say we go anyways. Weather pending I am going to make the trip down there anyways and take pictures, as it is just too much fun!

It's about 60+ miles of twisty roads going through the mountains, following the Muskingum River. I went last year, and my tires held up nicely. We are just going cruising and not having a race to see whom is the fastest. Drive at your own pace is the name of the game. If your tires are all weather you might want to get another set, but it is up to you! Are you interested, HotShot?
