I'll let you know, Tim also offered to keep it in his garage. I may pick it up in a week or two. the only thing I'm a little unsure about is running a test pipe. I don't want the car to smell horribly of exhaust and gas. It also has a bung welded on the test pipe for a wideband so hopefully it'll still give me an accurate reading.

Does anyone know how long your suppose to let your air filter dry after using the K&N recharge filter? I read the instructions in the box, it just says let dry, literally. Yet my brother in law is convinced I have to let it sit for 24 hours. It's hard for me to let the car sit that long. Thanks guys.

So suped right now..I'm here at work..for 5 hours..for ONE scheduled oil change, and one stupid recall. Awesomness to the 187547597435th degree if I might say.
Well, least I have something to do today (besides run the dealership)...I noticed all the bulbs blew behind the speedometer...well gee...seeing sense the Evo is here..I might as well change them.
Oh, and ya...driving this car once a month...I tend to forget how fun she is...sigh..

So today so far I just replaced all the bulbs in the gauge cluster of the Evo (all the ones for the speedo were out). Now I think I am going to go wash her...and hope the owner pulls up as I am doing so.....

there is seriously nothing more annoying then when you oil a k&n filter and then realize its not totally dry... fyi sometimes they look totally dry but are not. i would at the least give it an entire night. when you oil it, i would just do 2-3 light coats. you should *not* need the entire clean side to be pink as the instructions designate.
if you are running the stock air box, i have my old k&n filters and stock filters you can borrow.

Thank you for the offer Paul. I'm actually running an open air filter. The one I've had on my car is kinda chewed up and ugly so I bought another today for 20.00. No biggie, I'm going to use it with the hard intake pipe. Now at least I will have a spare to run when I have to clean the good one.
that sucks to hear.
So, I installed my test pipe and intake today. All I can say is....wow. I love it. The car sounds "normal" until just after 3k then the tone changes as it hits full boost and wham...I love it. The intake is totally fine to, didn't effect the idle at all and it made the turbo/bov sound alot better/chrisper.
My only concern is this, I know I'm running really rich and I'm getting quite a bit of knock. Turco, would you want to do a mild retune by getting some logs/pulls with me until I can get some dyno time for a full tune with you? Just a thought, and you would be compensated for your time. Let me know what you think.
edit again...I think I just found my new wheel...I've been so picky but damn I love it...Rota Grid in matte bronze. only thing that sucks is I would have to roll my fenders. I have no idea where to do that or if I want to go that route...but the wheel is beautiful...look at that concave

I lied, I think im going to go with this:

good lord thats a nice wheel.
