Anybody from the DC-baltimore area

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about moving east to the DC/baltimore, etc... area. I jsut don't know anything about that area.
Trying to find some community around dc, maryland.... that would be safe to raise kids, etc...

I'd really like to talk to somebody from there about it. Please. Let me know.

thanks

Michel

Nowhere in Baltimore, maybe try Glen Burnie. Traffic sucks horribly equally across the board. Virginia has some nice areas, but they're all pricey as hell. I got better idea.......... Stay in Colorado !!

Well I'm not really from the area, but I lived in the DC/ Baltimore area pretty much my whole time in the Navy. While I was stationed in Bethesda I started in Germantown, then moved to Montgomery Village, and lastly to Landover (military housing was there, but otherwise a bad area). When I got transfered to Annapolis I lived in Glen Burnie. All the the places I would go back to and raise kids (assuming not much has changed since then), except Landover. Personally I would live closer to Baltimore, and probably live in Glen Burnie again. If you rather be closer to DC, then be prepared for really bad traffic, and high housing costs for the nicer areas in Northern VA or somewhere north of the beltway in MD.

Talk to Warrtalon. He has a family and your concerns and moved from this area (DC Metro area) to Denver not too long ago.

well, I hate Denver. can't stand it anymore. i need to go to the east coast somewhere but not too southern (heat and southerners ), and not too northern (weather).
I am thinking near DC more than Baltimore. maybe like 1 hour away.
I didn't realize Wart was from there! thanks
