Bergen county tint tickets/problems?

hey im from bergen county(rutherford to be exact) and im planning on getting my silver evo tinted. id really like to go 20%, but i dont want cops to be an issue, which i think they will if i go that dark. i feel 35% might be too light at least having a light car and dark interior, they might look darker. i basically wanna do it for looks, and a little to block the sun.

anyone in the area ever had problems, or any suggestions?

also, this is my DD, but since i work in the city i take the bus to work, and i only drive my car on the weekends.

so what do you say guys. go with the 20% or just get 35% so i dont get hassled as much

also any pics would be nice of silver evos with either 20% or 35% tint

thanx for the input

I'm gonna assume you remove the front tints come inspection time?

well haven't personally dealt with the rutherford area, but I know when I had 20 on the lancer, there were places that i would avoid driving through to avoid getting stopped...
I don't believe that they can cite you for the 35, but the 20 looks soo good

you aren't going to be taken to the station for having 20, but they can give you a fix-it ticket in which you will have to pay the fine and then also get the tint fixed, else you can get another one...

depends what you want to do... 20 looks great, but if you are getting pulled over a lot already, it's just another reason for them to stop you... just my 2¢

thanx for all the info guys.

im going tomorrow morning and still havent 100% made up my mind, but im pretty sure im gunna go with 35% front and rear sides and 20% rear window, just to not have as many problems. i never get pulled over now, but that doesnt mean they wont stop me.

i have a gold PBA card which might get me out of tickets for a little but it doesnt make me above the law, and my friend who has one too had to put his front plate back on cause he was getting pulled over at least once a week.
