2006 Honda Shadow Aero 750 Motorcycle For Sale
Well, time has come to sell my bike. I am often too busy to ride it and I have other areas that need my attention more than a bike does.
Price: $5200 for everything
Location: Currently in NE CT, but will be trailered back to OH this summer
It is a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero (retro Indian-like styling)--
Engine: 745cc liquid cooled V-Twin
Drivetrain: Drive shaft (zero maintenance)
Trans: 5 speed short-ratio (55-70 cruising is great)
Weight: 550ish pounds wet, without driver (which is light for a cruiser)
Length: 64.5in wheelbase
Seat height: 25.9in (driver sits low and mean)
Mileage: 3000 or abouts (will go check on it for exact)
MPG: 3.7 gallon tank in the 40-60 MPG range (87 octane)
Option: has the rare color option ($600 extra on MSRP) of Metallic Orange/Black two-tone (I have never seen another one)
Currently in indoor storage. Was in heated storage for last few years.
Extras:
--Custom (my own) shotgun exhaust. No mufflers, sounds like a Harley. Tim Allen grunt cool. (Free)
--K/N filter and custom snorkel mod for better air flow ($60)
--Carb has been re-jetted to match the exhaust and filter (DynoJet Stage 1 $60)
--Memphis Shades Windshield (clear) and Mounting brackets ($150)
--Rear seat is off, back can be bolted back on (off looks cooler)
In/outs:
Great bike. Lots of fun to drive. I am around 225 lbs and it still has a kick to it. The 2009 starts at $7,300 for the two-tones and only difference is a wide ratio trans now. Throttle is crisp and engine has nice torquey grunt. I have taken it out with my brother and his friends (600RR's) and it is fun to take though twisties. No knee dragging, but very enjoyable. I have done some 6 hour rides on it too. It gets lots of looks and thumbs up (from other bikers too). It can do 2 people easily, it has done a few hour/2 hour trips with my girlfriend as passenger. I got the bike originally to drive to school from my house when I was back in college (MPG, gas prices v. Evos).
The bike:
Shotgun exhaust (with high temp coating on it):
Snorkel Intake (orignial design was a 8 inch long tube stuffed under the gas tank that narrowed down pretty car - just like baffling on todays cars):
If you have any questions or are interested. Please PM or post here.
