Medical Waste dumping
Excessive number of chain restaurants
Jersey State Troopers
Landfills
Camden
Jug Handles
STD's
Mets Fans
Traffic Circles

That couldn't be farther from the truth. Outside of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and a few other towns, Pennsylvania=Pennsyltucky.

I respectfully disagree...

BTW

I write this all in good humor. I have nothing against any other person (NJ resident or not). I also don't intend on taking over this guys thread with more Philly vs. Jersey talk. If you care to debate the matter further, we could create a new thread. Have a great day!

I got your back bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love philly

circles and jug-handles are quite efficient actually. Circles become bothersome when traffic is thick, which is why nj is removing them from the more populated areas.

I've driven in many states and im not sure that people are more kind and considerate than they are in nj. Its just overpopulated in some parts.

Sorry, for the rant. Just dont like the "my state > your state" sentiment.

To the OP, philly has lots of stuff to do. We haven't had much snow in recent years, but i would recommend some moderate winter tires.

buses in philly are chock full of winners (sarcasm). you won't tolerate it for long. where you are living, you'll want to drive. if you really wanted to take public transportation, the regional rail station is right under the executive house. you could jump on the R5 to suburban station (two stops and about 10 minutes) and grab the broadstreet line to spring garden station (about 5 minutes once on the train). you'll be 2 blocks from school.

just a bit of info.

yeah i'd like to know what school you have your eye on once doing time at ccp? i am guessing it is a philly school given that you're moving here.

i did the same crap when moving up from miami, fl. i wasn't accepted into any grad program but decided to come up and take prerequisite classes. kind of a shot in the dark but it worked out fine.

plus moving from miami to philly in january was quite a shock!! not to mention all the overly clothed women took the thrill out of life.
