Im Moving to Phili
welcome well when you come haha. I would suggest if you have extra money to buy a cheap set of evo 8 enkeis and some blizacks. you can get anywhere you want with the snow tires on. i just put mine on yesterday already made a big difference. what school will you be going to? St. joes? Temple? oh and i would not drive ur evo around in the city the roads are all really bad not worth the wear and tear plus theres some pretty scary spots you can get lost in. If you go out i would stay out of the city with the evo and drive in del county...heck we sometimes have meets.

Hate is a strong word, I would prefer to just say that Jersey sucks. Here are a few reasons why;
Odor
Poor Drivers
High Taxes
The New York Giants
Corrupt Politicians (more than typical politicians)
Medical Waste dumping
Excessive number of chain restaurants
Jersey State Troopers
Landfills
Camden
Jug Handles
STD's
Mets Fans
Traffic Circles
That couldn't be farther from the truth. Outside of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and a few other towns, Pennsylvania=Pennsyltucky.
I respectfully disagree...
BTW
I write this all in good humor. I have nothing against any other person (NJ resident or not). I also don't intend on taking over this guys thread with more Philly vs. Jersey talk. If you care to debate the matter further, we could create a new thread. Have a great day!

To the OP who's moving, I dont know if you carry or not for protection down in Texas, but I know some parts of Philly can be creepy, and I would not want to trek anywhere without packing heat.
I also wanted to add that New Jersey sucks in that they are very anti-gun. In Philly, or anywhere in PA you can carry a concealed handgun for self defense as long as you're licensed for that.

If you are a serious car junkie (regardless of brand) you should check out the Simeone Museum.

Their collection is sick.
The last Saturday of every month (weather permitting), they bring out a few cars to the lot in the back for "exercise." The weekend after Thanksgiving they brought out the Cobra Daytona Coupe, their GT40, and the Cunningham. Awesome to see these legends running around barking like mad dogs.
Worth the trip.
Good luck in Filthy-delphia.

I may consider moving to Philly too one day, we shall see in the next few months or so.
Here's one of our locals results. If your in town for a while I'm sure you'll meet him. He made around 460whp on a very low reading MD.

To add to Pete's post, the Sandmonster ran an 11.2 last I heard from him. He's still getting used to the new Hoosiers, so I think he'll be in the 10s once he gets working on the slicks. He won the Evo/Sti shootout mid-year this year in the heads-up class (prior to the double pumper install)
hahaha, i can carry my gun wherever i want, and kitten if i see you and u have the gun on you its curtains, pinch for me hahaha. p.s. anyone that thinks pats or genos has good steaks is a ****in tourist lol. p.s.s. NJ SUCKS!!
To those of you who come from states that actually honor the second amendment please carry responsibly, and dont do anything that would make the law abiding gun owner look bad.
Aside from that I'm thinking of visiting Philly soon.
