New England Rally.. A poker run like no other...
This is August 6-8...
Trust me guys.. You don't want to miss this.. We are taking the rally car (Because its just that fun to drive), and another guy here on EvoM is bringing his evo8 as well.. We are over 30 teams this year already, and they just opened up another 10 spots..
Check out newenglandrally.com for the details.. I know the website isn't that pretty, but this is by far the most fun you can have in a weekend..
My buddy Tom brought his Exige..
My friend Brian brought his sick s14.. (yes we are that retarded lol)
Having some fun with Magnetic stickers (Yes it says sorry girls i'm gay)
Setting up at the Start last year..
Stickering up the rally car..
You can bring ANY car you want on this.. We have people do it every year in pickup trucks, regular cars, anything. We have had people repeatedly join us that have done AKA, GAR, and One Lap, and they have all said they enjoy this more.
You will get to see all kinds of crazy back roads, and this year there is no overnight drive, so we get two nights to party it up in hotels... Call it a Mini Gumball if you will (ONLY THIS IS A POKER RUN, NOT A RALLY). At each checkpoint you draw a card.. Whatever team has the best poker hand at the finish line wins...
Last year one of our stops was Maine Indoor karting at 2am...We got to drive SodiKarts for 3 hours straight for free...
I'd like to see more Evo love this year.. Last year we had 2 evo 8's (including ours), the year before that we had 1 evo 8 and 1 evo X...

This looks awesome, where is the signup? (I suppose I could find it if I wasn't feeling lazy and looking for a segue to announce my interest in attending)
This is conveniently in the middle of August shutdown for my work and on a weekend where there is no AutoX event I am planning on attending. It seems too good to be true schedule-wise for me.
Awesome.

I had a blast last year. Everyone was cool and there was a couple of interesting check points like the go kart place and the tip of Maine where you could walk across a bridge to Canada. I learned a few things like there are places where GPS will not work and the further north you go from new york the nicer the locals are. We only had one hotel stay last year and i was dead tired after the 30 hour rally. I'm glad there will be two hotel stays this year.

And It starts Friday AM in East Hartford CT around 8am... The finish line is unknown, and my guess will be around 3-5pm...

My deposit's in.
Am I going to get the entry form emailed to me or something?
I didn't see it on the site or forums (quick scan thru there).
Now there is an IX in the field to round out the Evos.

I got the form.
I am from Enfield.
It seems like a solid value to me. I always enjoy exploring places I have never been to, this is just an excuse to go out, and find a whole lot more places I have never been.
This could not be scheduled at a better time for me either, it is dead center of a 2 week shutdown at work (one week of forced vacation and a week of furlough) and I will have plenty of time to prep the car (waxing it) and prep myself (actually getting a couple consecutive nights of "enough" sleep).

awesome... You will have a blast..
Normally we make sure we have plenty of this in the car...
But with no overnight drive, we're just going to make sure we have plenty of this for the hotels...
