Any NJ ppl with extended inspection decals?

The thing is, I never got one...........why is that?
Where do you get them (dealer/DMV?)

Try to contact the DMV. Mine was sent to me in the mail.

 

Hobie I knew you would respond u the man..............but you got it from dmv or dealer?

 

dmv usually gives it up, but i think dealers usually do it too... i don't remember... i never did it.. i just went for inspection and boom... done.... lol

 

You get it when you go to the inspection (DMV).
With a new car you're suppose to get a 4 year sticker now.

 

But a lot of people I see get them In the mail..........see I dont drive the car right now but my inspection was due 3 months ago.......and most people I ask "I got it in mail" but from who........I called my dealer and they said they know nothing about that.......I dont know

 

I have to admit I've never heard of anything like that but as far as I see your car had a sticker which expired. You have to go to DMV Inspection station and get it inspected and they will affix the sticker. Not sure what would happen if you get stopped by a cop and he sees that your inspection has expired.

My co-worker has an '01 Jeep...bought it new with the standard dealer two year inspection (good till '03). Last year he received an extension sticker from Chrysler...extending his to 2005

My dad has an '01 pickup...came with the two year sticker from the dealer. A few months ago he also got an extension sticker in the mail from Chevy...good thru '05.

You should get it in the mail...if not I would contact someone.

New cars now come thru with the 4 year inspection...but I think any car from '01 - '02 that came with the 2 year is receiving the added 2 year extension.

Any car that was purchased from 2001+ will get the extended 2 years. I heard you get them in the mail. Best thing to do is call DMV and ask. Let us know what happens.
