cnj: where to get remote starter installed?
I need a remote start for my X.
Not looking for anything fancy, but enough to turn the car on within 100 feet.
Does ne1 known a local CNJ place that I can get one purchased/installed?
Also this will require a clutch killswitch since I am not pressing it in to start the car?

Not trying to take away anything if jdm96gsr is an installer or not. But I am an installer, but im in north jersey. You would have to buy the system (which I can recommend if needed) and ill install it. I offer free diagnosis and adjustments after the install later down the road if needed.

Im right by Englewood. Im in Teaneck. It really depends on what options you want and how much you want to spend. In my opinion, anything that Directed Electronics makes is top notch. They make Viper, Python, Clifford...etc. Autopage, Audiovox, Compustar, and Omega are pretty decent too.
If you want a 2-way pager alarm/remote starter combo plus good range, I recommend the Viper 5901. I have that in my Evo X. If you dont care for an alarm or good range, theres alot more cheaper options. It really depends on what you want.

It depends on the year and also if you bought the right bypass module to make life easier. Otherwise, they are very difficult cars to work on if installing an alarm and/or remote starter on. German cars are the hardest to work on in my opinion. Most of the time, I refuse to work on them, but I do make exceptions sometimes.

If anyone else is interested in having a remoter starter and/or alarm installed, let me know! It will be installed nice and clean. The Evo X is very easy compared to some other cars, but im experienced which helps. And here is my website. http://www.protekcaraudioandsecurity.com
