Cars are stolen on a daily basis, is this unreasonable to believe?

Honestly, where are you going with this???

Take this as your rule of thumb:

If they want it, nothing is going to stop them from getting it. It sucks, but its true.

Case in point, my friend had a Civic Si with a decent alarm, and within 30 minutes someone had taken the rims, body cladding, interior trim, and the B16 engine. The best part, there were no signs of forced entry. Just keep an eye on your EVO...

heh, i got a lancer, and anytime i go somewhere like to eat i make sure i can see my car from where im at, lol, and when i goto work i make sure the cameras can see my car.

oh and my girlfriend has an 01 mustang v6 5spd blah blah blah anyways, she locked her keys in her car...and her key has the chip so its the only key, but im sure ford has a 'master key' that works but anyways....she had to call the cops to get in, the first cop...a guy...tried fro 30 mins and scratched her window to ****...he called for 'assistance' and it was a female cop and it took her 15 seconds to pop the lock

so yeah...if they want in, they can get in, lol

I've searched for stolen Evo's on this site and all I could find was they were broken into. I didn't really find any stolen (except by someone from the dealership - internal work).
So far if you ask me, it's a good thing, not too many stolen. There's always going to be some.
I was on Nasioc the other day reading about stolen WRXs/STis and it was scary. I really feel bad for those people.
Hope Evo will be of less interest.

The only theft device I would like to have in my car is Mul-T-Lock or Defend lock which can not be bought in USA.
Mut-T-Lock website sucks but here's the defend lock:

http://www.defend-lock.com/

Alarms I don't trust. This is a mechanical lock for the gear shifter and is welded to the car which would take a thief a lot longer to disable.
