New York City Insurance Rates - Big Discount

So I thought i should share my findings, I just changed insurance companies from nationwide to statefarm (2013 evo x gsr) and for exact same coverage I received a 27% discount on my monthly rate.

My experience is that GEICO is a good match for a car that is warrantied by Mitsubishi because they can be as miserly as Mitsubishi when it comes to actually paying for repairs. Happy to have USAA, myself.

My Premiums just went up from Gieco. Reason being our cars are known to be stolen and accident prone! =[

Very nice, Gecio is the way to go - anyone want to ever do a meet? So many Evo's, big community, but not many meets!

Be careful with Geico, there's reasons why they're cheap. One being they like to use used or aftermarket parts on accident repairs.

That actually is every single insurance company. My GF needed a new bumper and they gave her an aftermarket one even though I specified, OEM only. When the damage assessor comes out, you make sure you all pieces that you need are OEM. Now when it comes to the evo. I only had one claim and to not even bother with the insurance company pulling that **** off... They actually just wrote all the parts needed and cut me a check for it. So I actually ordered all of them via Fred Beans, my mitsu dealer and some other OEM dealer that I cannot remember right now. Oh and my SST cooler was a little bent so instead of OEM I went and got the AMS one for free (thank you insurance lol).

I'm paying double what I was paying 5 years ago.
Other than some credit issues, they have no reason to rape me.
I get so mad when I see one of the dumb commercials, all I can think is "oh god, I'm paying for this crap"

Evo gets a bad rap

at first geico gave me the best rate for 6months, then after 6months was up like 50 dollars for no reason then I switched AllState for 6months because they gave me cheaper rate. BUT then they went up 200 so check Geico again and Geico gave me the best rate. They like to play games instead of retaining their customer, but once they lose you they want u back again.

Just got a 5pt ticket for using my iphone gps while at a redlight ... I wonder how much my next insurance rate will go up by ..... (will go to court to reduce the 5point tho down to 3pt then take driving defense course to reduce insurance rate)

Eww that's a crappy ticket to get nailed for.
POINTS at a clip is bad, ny it's 11 points.
Good news the online class gives you 4 points off your driving record with dmv.

Insurance will charge up to 5 years for insurance surcharge, is the word they love to use.
