About half a year and I still haven't seen an Evo X on the road.

Is this a sign of our weak economy, a car priced too high for the original customer? Has the car missed it's target market in it's design?

Is the brand weak?

Why does the NE dealership network consistently under-support and represent the brand?

Discuss.

lol

I've seen plenty in my area. You can't base what you see in your little area, and judge the entire economy/US/mindest on that

iv seen a few i actually saw one today!

MyEvoDream Jul 2, 2008 06:46 PM

I think he means more specifically up here in the northeast guys... Alex, I hear ya man, I've seen 1 on the road, in a parking lot and it had Virginia Plates! I've only seen a few at the dealerships, and I know since we're way the hell away from Cali that they do take a while to get over here compared the west coast, but places like new york, Jersey, and florida seem to have plenty...I guess the economy could be one reason, but I saw way more VIII's and IX's when they first came out compared the number of X's I'm seeing...just my 2 cents, location and economy...and maybe people waiting for MR's?

EJW2202 Jul 2, 2008 06:56 PM

I've only seen two. A red and a silver one.

Protostar1 Jul 2, 2008 07:07 PM

I saw a white one on I-290 and one blue one at the dealer out by AMS... thats it. too bad the new evo isnt as cut throat as its older versions and is so expensive. Fingers crossed for a lightwieght club sport {thumbup}

I see three at the local dealer...been there for ~2 months; and so far I have only seen one on the road.

j14mp Jul 2, 2008 09:38 PM

only seen one while I was out biking parked at some sound store. I dont remember what color it was.. wasnt really paying attention lol

I still haven't seen one on the road either...and I drive a lot! (I have put 35k on my work truck in the 10 months I have had it...)

I don't think the price is too high though. It is not that much higher than the IX. People have gotten SSL's (or whatever they are calling them now) for 31k or so.

I think the rise in gas prices more people are seeking for less drain on their pockets. homes on a downfall also can contribute to more people buying at this time so less enthusiasts more PROPER investment. I'll probably be selling mine (ix) due to that cause.

Malik_EvoIX Jul 3, 2008 05:31 AM

i have seen 2 here in Michigan thats about it. i was going to get one myself on a trade-in. but insurance is way more that my IX

fenriq007 Jul 3, 2008 06:32 AM

I've seen only two here on the road and two days I saw a red one for sale in a used car dealership which made me wonder what was up with that why the trade in so soon and for what.

malves85 Jul 3, 2008 07:11 AM

I havent seen any yet. I hardly even see previous year Evos. To see one I have to travel to a different county to maybe get a rare glimpse. Ive lived in my town my whole life and have only seen one red evo 8 or 9 here and that was well over a year ago.

Evolution06 Jul 3, 2008 07:20 AM

i haven't seen any either down here in south florida, now that you mention it.......
