Looking for more info on an Evo that's for sale

Hi Forum,

I'm hoping to find the previous owner of this vehicle, or at least find someone who maybe recognizes the car and knows some of its history. Unfortunately the seller (dealer) has no list of mods to provide. Here's what I know so far:
  • ETS intercooler
  • unknown upper and lower intercooler pipes
  • Unknown intake
  • Tial BOV
  • Battery relocated to trunk
  • NOT SSL from factory, but has SSL door panels and front/rear seats
  • Megan Racing exhaust, not sure on details
  • JDM rear bumper
  • Evo 7 tail lights
  • AEM A/F & boost gauges
  • Oil pressure, oil temp, and fuel pressure gauges on center console
I connected my laptop with a Tactrix cable to try and read the ECU but received a "failed to connect" message on two different attempts. I made sure the ODBII connector was seated properly.
Noticed a couple of cut wires behind the glove compartment, which isn't a good sign..
The car pulled strong and felt good, except in 5th gear during full boost acceleration I felt a cycling hesitation. Not sure what that could be.

I welcome any comments you may have regarding this car and appreciate any info you can provide. I'm new to Evos and want to try to find something that's in a reasonable condition.. Right now I'm not so sure that's the case with this particular vehicle.

From the looks of the engine bay it’s running speed density, don’t see a maf . Good luck with your search.

Ah, good catch. Thanks for that.

Looks like the car went to auction -- dealer probably had no idea how to fix the car and I wasn't willing to put a deposit down on a potentially bad deal.

Anyone know someone who can be my proxy buyer? :)
