If you have a complete ATP turbo kit then you won't need any additional parts.

kyle - you gotta get a custom tune ! you're gonna put on the big turbo and use some base map ? and when else can you get the man himself to do a custom tune on your car... unless you drive to cali ? a dyno won't hurt your clutch

I'm still worried about the load on the clutch on the dyno....also, the kit is used so I may need to replace various parts.

I definitely plan on the custom tune, especially since I haven't seen any maps for the revolver cams either. I've been recomended to set them at -2 Int/ +6 Exh to get the most torque out of the setup, not really looking for peak hp. I'm trying to find a base map so I can at least drive the car around a little until the dyno day.

I don't see how the dyno can hurt your clutch (unless the driver in the car forgets to put it in neutral before shutting down the machine....ask me how I know...another reason I'm not 100% thrilled with FAME)

the dyno will be easier on your clutch than a trip to the grocery store
sorry about your prior experience with FAME, Sam. fwiw, it's gonna be Shiv that will be running the show during this tuning session.

I'm assuming he's worried about his clutch since he will be tuning for a lot more power with the ATP 3037 Turbo on his Evo. With numerous pulls and so much power on the stock clutch it could tend to slip or just not catch at all.

AFAIK most clutch damage occurs when launching or power shifting, aside from normal wear and tear. When on the dyno the car is taken up through the gears very gingerly, and the only real torque it sees is once it's firmly in gear. I have to imagine that the stock clutch can handle that without slipping....but I could be very wrong here too.

This is the totally wrong place to post it, but I have a Walbro FP for sale for those of you doing some upgrades before the dyno. It's the 255lph model, GSS 342, and it's never been used. There is no install kit, and you don't really need one. If you're a local buyer and want me to install it I can do that too free of charge. $80 will make me happy, no haggling please.

Attn: Big Turbo Guys !
Talked to Shiv last night and he said that it may take longer to tune your cars compared to the stock turbos. Each tune will depend on individual set-ups and how many maps are needed. There may be additional fees for tuning and the dyno if your car requires more time.

I just placed an order for an RnR 3076R turbo. Now I'm wondering too if my stock clutch will hold up. Does anyone have any experience with shops in this area that have done clutch installs?

BTW, I'll have a Bushur 3" Magnaflow turboback with test pipe, new hi-flow cat, new O2 simulator, Bushur Intake and MBC for sale in a few weeks. 4k miles - 1/2 price. Anyone interested?

Thanks,
Eric

You won't have the turbo kit in time for the dyno day. I have been waiting over 2 months for parts for mine. This was after he told me 1 week.

looks like someone needs to send them a can of whoopass and make sure they deliver on time.
on a brighter note, it's still 6 weeks away so maybe they can deliver.

I hoping I will have my parts by then. If not bad things will go down.

Ryan emailed me a 100% guarantee that my parts would arrive on time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
