Sup guys? Moving to Anchorage (Ft. Richardson) in a couple weeks. I was asking a guy on EvoX about emissions. Does Anchorage HAVE emissions testing? Also, i heard they were rough on tints there? Will I have to remove mine? (15% light)

Emissions was cancelled as of March 1st so no worries about that. Tint law is 70% front, 40% rear, IIRC. But I had 20% all the way around and never got messed with.

 

Thanks man! Sounds like I might go lighter just in case. I'll just wait until I get my first fix-it ticket before. I might be able to get away with mine. Since my front windows are always open.

How's the winter treat the car? I come from Illinois where paint get killed by salt.

 

We don't use salt much, more like rocks and dirt. I drive a Honda in the winter so I don't beat the evo to hell.

 

a beater for the winter is recommended, especially if you have your evo is dropped, the transitions from the roadway into parking lots or driveways can be a bit of a tall step sometimes.

Also offically not going to test and tune tomorrow, tune is no where near done.

I've looked around for that part and driveline motoring will probably be your best bet. Might not be the cheapest on paper but the shipping is much less than say lancershop etc.
