Mountain Mitsubishi and WORKS

All Evo Owners,

It was great to see everyone at Mountain Mitsubishi on May 12th and at the Global Import Show. We are looking forward to the next level of working with Mountain Mitsubishi over the next 3 months. We will provide a press release along with information from Mountain Mitsubishi when we are ready to share the information. All we can say is “it will be worth the wait”. Also, next time any of you are at Mountain Mitsubishi, be sure to check their new product displays in the parts area.

WORKS hopes to be back up in the Tacoma area in the next 4 to 6 weeks. Thanks again to all you enthusiast that make this business so entertaining.

Sincerely,

Oliver Simons

Thanks for bringing the race car!
Real race cars have doo-doo brown colored brakes. Looking forward to your next visit!

Install the parts, you should be fine. WORKS, will just fine tune your ECU to get the most out of the parts.

Hes going to run a bit richer with that pump and no reflashed ECU. TBE should be ok though...BTW James are you going to have it on for the St Helens run? I am curious to see the AMS setup in person.

Thanks guys,

What other mods do you have going with the pump? Give me some info (either here or PM) and maybe we can help from here.

We'll let everyone know when we are coming up again. I'd like to make it an EVO meet, or possibly include a track day. Have to check out your local tracks. Watch our site for some information on the SCCA T2 race that is coming to your area in the next few weeks. Show your support to the EVO VIII of Michael Santos!

Cheers,

Oliver Simons

Now that is funny...

Here are some terms:

(Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt)

A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):

- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder - We make power.
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747 - Downforce is good.
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool - All stickers are accounted for, some are even sponsored!
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself - None here.
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire - Nope
- Clear tail lights and corner signals - Nope
- A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat - This one could apply...

But then again, could a "ricer" do this:

Cheers,

Oliver Simons

My hero, do you use the Works stage 2 clutch? I recently installed it and don't feel much of a diffrence between that and the original. Cept when it was first installed, the car would jump in first gear.. and I mean LEAP forward.
