APS 3.5" Turbo Back Exhaust for sale

Hey everyone,

I am putting this up on the NW forum first because I'd rather not have to ship this exhaust. I'm selling my 3.5" TBE exhaust from APS. I originally had much higher power goals, and this exhaust is for just that - very high power, especially if you are looking to change to a bigger turbo. I put around 5,000 miles on it, but it is in great shape and will function like new of course.

Included:
Downpipe
Cat Delete
Catback exhaust
Silencer
Gaskets, bolts and spacer

Here are some pics that I took...
Before installation:

On the car:

Removed from the car, just taken today:

The downpipe is missing in that last pic, but it's included of course.

The exhaust fit great on my '04 Evo RS, and I believe it'll fit an Evo 9 just as well. More pics and info can be found here if you're interested:

http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/us...evo-hoe_04.htm

Asking $550. As a reference, these are tough to find for anywhere under $1200 when new.

I live around the Portland area, and am just looking for a local buyer to come and pick it up right now. PM me if you are interested.

-Trevor

Guys and girls ,

Just one remark to say about this 3.5". I witnessed back in June the 6th 2004 at Dynocomp(Phoenix) a STI being tune by Richard Garcia making exactly 15whp more on a Dyno Dynamic Dyno by just removing the turbo impeller looking restrictictor on the tip of the muffler. This was before the car was tune. This exhaust was on the infamous black STI for sale that was circulating on Ebay for $55000 a couple of years ago, anyone remember that?

I am just saying this because I though it was a remarkable gain. That is all

Also there is a guy on this forum I belive Carwanson from San Antonio,TX that also runs this exhaust and ran 12.0@114 with minimal mods at SAR.

Cool, thanks Carlos, I'll send him a PM.

And yeah, what you mentioned about the HP gains w/ this exhaust is very true - removing the tip makes a considerable difference. I actually dynoed my car bone stock and made 225 AWHP, then after doing nothing more than the APS intake and this 3.5" TBE, the car made 275 hp. Not a bad gain for just intake/exhaust

I know it fits an Evo 8 MR, but I'm not sure about the 9 MR. I want to say that it does, but I can't say for sure. Can anyone confirm this..?

As for sound, I'm not going to lie - it is not a quiet exhaust. I like the tone of it, but even w/ the silencer in you'll still turn heads. With the silencer out, you need to watch your foot as you pass by cops and stuff like that but it's easy to get used to. During the time I had it on my car, I probbly drove about 90% of the time with the tip out. It's hard to put it back in when you get used to the power, heheh.

Abner,

I also seen Johns car(Black STI) and it sounds very well. Remember, John lined up with Edwins MR and they tie with the same mods.

As I mentioned before, I have witnessed a 15whp power increase by just removing the restrictor in the back. I think this might be a good exhaust for you Abner.

I'm pretty sure the downpipe's are different for 04's then 05+ cars.. 04's did not have ACD's.

I know of a potential buyer for your exhaust. I will forward your information onto them.

Thanks, Jeff. I have a few people interested, and a common question that is coming up is whether or not the APS downpipe / exhaust fits with an '05 or an '06. I was under the impression that it does fit with the new ACD, but if anyone out there could confirm this, that would really help out. It fit fine on my '04, I know that...
