That doesn't really "solve" the problem - it just fixes it temporarily. It's the same for all the ACT HDSS's out there - you're supposed to adjust the rod out to get it to work properly. The problem is that it will start acting up again, then you'll run out of room to adjust the rod. Once I got to the very end, then that's when my ACT started slipping soon after. I had about 100 drag passes all in the 12.0-12.4 range with 1.66-1.75 60's, so it did alright, but it gave up the ghost after 9500 miles. Interestingly, it started slipping on my way home after a weekend of road racing, but not during the weekend while thrashing the car and not after drag racing.

I now have the Exedy and life couldn't be better. My already-fast shifting has improved dramatically...

1100 for an Exedy Twin? Where in the world did you get that, JJ? The going rate is 1450-1500. It costs vendors more than 1100 to even sell it...

I'd like to know too. I can get one locally for around $1200 and I thought that was the cheapest around.

I bought it from a vendor on this forum. I am pretty sure I am not suppose to disclose who it is due to Exedy's pricing policies.

I bought mine back in the good ol' days, when people were killing them left and right and they were inferior to the far better and cheaper ACT. Back in those days vendors were whoring them out just to get rid of them. Now, they have become "good" again and this has driven the prices up.

There are two shops here in Oregon that sell them for 1200, providing you ask first. I also know a couple of rally teams that sell them for 1150. THe issue, of course, is you cant just walk in and get it. It usually takes 2 to 3 days to get. What the hell you trolling in the Northwest forums for anyway? (just givin ya crap)
