try some of the welding gas supply places, they sometimes have lines on weird gasses, and might no a supplier..
or one of the shops might know.. if you find out post it up for everyone, im sure more of us want to, need to, or might need to know...

sherman williams paint store, they can get it in 3-4 dys if there isnt any in that store. it is 100% pure so it is a little more expensive than the 97-99% stuff.

 

We don't have a sherwin will paint place in Oak Harbor, but may be worth a drive to Seattle. What is the cost/amount?

 

This side of ordering a 55gal drum I know of two places where you can drive up and fill up your can to whatever amount. One is in Everett and the other is in Federal Way. Obviously the Federal Way location is closer to you.

I don not know the name of the shops as they are truck/parts supply locations but, I can describe them enough to get you there.

Everett - Off I-5 (heading north) take the 128th street exit. At HWY 99 make the left (south) 1/2 mile on the left side there is a big red sign that says Advanced Welding/Truck parts.....walk inside and ask about the Methanol. They have a tank around back.

Federal Way - Off I-5 (heading north) take the SR-18 West exit towards HWY 99. At HWY 99 make the right (north) just ahead across from the Ford dealership (on left) there is a Parts/Nitrous supplier (on right). I have not been there but, I was told they have some there over the counter.

There have been some whispers of a place in Auburn and a place in Renton but, I have not found them yet. We should do a sticky thread about this so others can contribute and save their local distributor location.

is the Meth your getting 100% or is it the 97-99% i am pretty sure the 1-3% is only water... but i am a stickler

 

Yeah, it's 97-99%. The biotech grade for 100% is almost tiwce the price for gallon. I figure my use to be in the 5gal/month range. Methanol does not keep long and can evaporate some so 10-15 gallons would be a max assuming a 2 month use period. I am getting it at $2.75/gal.

What can you do to my door /gal at a 10-15gal quantity considering 2 month intervals of ordering?
