Can someone Evoscan me?

I'm in the Seattle area and was wondering if anyone with Ecuflash and Evoscan would be willing to hook up to my car and do a couple pulls with me to log , mainly for knock. I don't have a TanTrix cable, don't want to wait for them to come off backorder, and in all reality, i don't want to pay for one because i have EcuTek anyway.

I'm willing to drive to you whenever is convenient, and i don't need to borrow anything, i'm just looking for someone to ride along and log for me real quick.

Anyone that is willing to help would be greatly appreciated, let me know guys.

Thanks!

I may be wrong but I think Ecutek locks the ECU and ecuflash wont be able to read the ecu.

It's my understanding that EvoScan will be able to log data from the ECU, but EcuFlash won't be able to read or re-flash the ECU.

I've heard that someone on here has figured out how to "unlock" an Ecutek tuned ECU, but they're pretty tight lipped about it for obvious reasons.

I have a cable but not the EvoScan software (yet). If I can figure out where to find it, I'd be happy to help you out.

You got a deal Ralph, it's www.openecu.org. You have a lap top to use, correct? Just download the newest version right there on the main page; it's free and includes Evoscan with it i believe.

btw did you ever win anything in the raffle?

Also, it seems to me that the diagnostic features of Evoscan would still work even w/ a locked EcuTek ecu. But i guess we will find out...

Yeah Ralph's a rocket scientist, so i'm sure we will have some entertaining findings. I will post it in the Ecuflash section.

BTW sorry for the rediculous title guys, for some reason i always mess them up. Admin please change if you see this...

Thanks for the link Jeff! Kyle, thanks for offering to pitch in, but I've been wanting to buy it anyway so don't worry about it. I'll be working on my car most of Sat - so just give me call and swing by whenever you want. I'll PM you directions. Sun is looking a bit busy, so Sat would definitely be better.

Don't you mean EcuTek? Since thats what your ECU was tuned with. Even so all EvoScan is a logging tool, EcuTek doesn't prevent you from logging stuff, it wants to prevent you from reading/modifying the maps for obvious reasons. Of course with malibujack's work that has been bypassed .
