Evo saved my *** tonight

I was heading home from one of my late-night fun drives out at Snoqualmie, coming up 405 heading north. It's raining hard, people doing about 50 being cautious. Suddenly this 2-ton GMC pickup in front of me just looses it, goes sideways and *slams* into the concrete barrier on the right side of the freeway. I'm hitting the brakes for all they're worth, then the POS bounces and starts skidding back out left. Now the guy behind me is dodging right trying to avoid rear ending me, while cars on my left are freaking out trying to avoid the pickup wreck and spinning all over the damn freeway. I see nothing but sparks flying and cars bouncing like I'm in some pinball machine!! The quick steering of the Evo, AWD grip, and a good helping of luck saved me, so I got out of the mess and pulled over to call the cops.

Any other car and my *** would have been toast. Sometimes I really love this car!! When I walk over to check if the guy in the pickup is hurt, I can smell the booze as soon as I open the door - DUI ****ing sucks

a-holes ruin it for everyone as always.
evo saved my butt also. driving down a highway behind a small truck minding my own business. all of a sudden this moron in the truck decides to run over a piece of asphalt about 6" in diameter or so kicks it up hurtling it at my driver side windshield while we are doing about 50 mph.
the evos super quick steering helped me avoid that puppy flying at my head.

DUI driving does suck. People should think of the damage they could do. Good to hear you didn't get wrapped up in the carnage. I had a close one myself, but my reaction paired with the great responsiveness of the EVO saved my butt. I was directly behind a guy in a GMC pick-up truck that dropped the tailgate off of his truck right in front of me on the 210 Freeway. We were going close to 60 MPH. All I saw was a bunch of sparks and a huge spinning obstacle. I made a quick move to avoid it. Others behind me were not as lucky.

Give yourself credit the evo doesn't do it by itself, good storytelling man, atleast your cat-like reflexes weren't out to lunch.

glad youre ok.

i think your driving skill saved you as well. if you were a **** driver behind a good car you prolly would have been worse off. but since you knew what to do in that situation you saved your own ***.

One day, the rain was pissing harder than ever. The evo's super duper mucho excellente nacho libre hyper tension chucknorris quick style steering made to go through the rain without a single drop laid on my car.

Thanks guys - yeah the ACD was on "Gravel", but I think more importantly the driver was still on "push the envelope driving" from what I was doing earlier, so I was alert. If I had been just cruising for the last 30 min things may have turned out differently.
