Hi to NW members!
Welcome man. LOL Queen Anne, Freemont, Ballard for Subies.. Nice Areas, me and my wife are looking at condos in those areas... and what do you meen adjust to the weather. its always sunny here in the Greater Sunny Northwest....
I'm starting to think it might be better to stay in either Bellevue or closer. Instead of Downtown Seattle?
My manager up in Everett said that I will be going against traffic during work hours? So.....
When I was up in Bellevue's mall area to get something to eat I saw a WW Evo parked in the lot. I was excited to see a fellow
Then saw another one when going to the airport......and yes there are alot of Scoobies.

Just got back from Seattle today. Was up there looking for a apartment, and saw a white Evo 8 with CF trunk and loud on Saturday in the UW district.
Will be living in the Wallingford/ UW District area so if there are fellow Evo owners in the area. Hook a brotha up!

Stay away from Wallingford / U District if you'll be working in Everett. You won't be fighting traffic to get to work but the commute can easily turn nasty. Most Washington drivers don't know how to drive properly. Cutting down your commute time is your best bet.
Unless you like rain (lots of it), get ready to have a long period of adjusting. It took me roughly 3 years to get adjusted from the sunny So Cal. weather and even now, I'm still not 100% used to it.

Don't live near seattle. Parking is expensive and you should expect to have something done to your car if you leave it out in the open to long. When I went to college in Seattle, my bike was stolen right next to the street that runs along the pier in plain sight. The lock and chain was missing as well when I came out.
People are rude and awful drivers there too.. easy to get in a wreck if you don't drive super defensively. The commute around Seattle area is horrible during most of the day as cars crowd the streets.. a 10 minute drive could turn into a 45minute one and nobody with a manual likes fender to fender traffic.
Also stay away from living near the freeway or any highways..

I have lived and worked in Everett, Lynwood, Seattle, and Bellevue. I would strongly suggest living near your work. Or if you are bound and determined to live in "Downtown" do not carry a gun....cause you will end up shooting one of the million jackasses that cut you off or won't let you merge, and get ready to to see how fast your evo goes in neutral or first gear, cause thats about how fast you get to go in that commute. Other than that Washington Rocks, lots of stuff to do and it doesn't really rain as much as people say...we just tell everyone that to keep them from moving here.
Thanks to everyone who gave great suggestions and information about Seattle/ Washington State.
I've since moved back to S. Cal. I was up in Seattle area/ 45th St. Wallingford. Living in the apartment complex below the Office Max sign.
I really enjoyed my stay up there, the people were great and the weather in the summer is just beautiful. Especially around Greenlake area with the female joggers
I've attended one track day up there. Pacific Raceway. Alot of fun but had all season tires on. Due to the weather.....
I do miss Seattle now that I'm here in L.A.
