Sonic in Hillsboro, OR
There is now a Sonic Drive-In in Hillsboro, OR. It is near the intersection of Cornell and Cornelius pass, in the same parking lot as the new Kohls and near Winco. It is open I assure you.

Yeah either the weekend of the 16th or the 23rd of June. I was visiting family (my hometown is by Spokane) that weekend. My buddy and I decided to venture down there and his 2 week old Eclipse GT V6 got hit by some guy not paying attention. So still haven't ventured to the Sonic there, but I think I'll check out the one in Hillsboro.
lol, me and girlfriend have been talking about opening one of those for years. we allways see the comercials and say " man we would make bank if we owned one of those". thats what i get for not taking action.

They were planning on opening it up here for a while. They start advertising for a place like a year before it ever opens, to get the interest there. They did the same thing in Spokane for both Sonic and TGI Friday's before they even had broke ground to build it. So I figured one was coming. The one in Spokane you couldn't get in to eat without a line of cars before you for a couple months after it opened it seemed. I'm sure the one in Hillsboro will be the same.

^^ Even at peak hours I've only had to wait about 10 minutes for a stall. Drive-through is a little worse from what I understand, but you can always just go to a stall, get, and go.
Having been and eaten at plenty Sonic's over here, both in Pensacola and here in Greenville, i can't say it's too awesome. But it would have been nice to have one growing up in Portland. The speciality drink are by far my favorite thing there. The food, ah, I could really do without... It is a fun place to congregate and just hang out.
Wow, all the excitement over a Sonic?? I guess it's just odd for me because we have them EVERYWHERE here in TN. Basically in our small town, with one red light, it's either Sonic or Hardee's for lunch..
