Man, I'm bummed

I wanna get some snow tires for the Evo IX, but tire rack's cheapest wheel that will fit is $250 a pop + tires, all the local shops have nothing that will fit.... dumb bad weather...

Anyone wanna sell a set of MR BBS's for a decient price?

I've seen Evo 8 Enkei's go for $400-$500 a set. Check the for sale forums. That's what I'm using for winter wheels.

I got my Evo 8 Enkei's for 300 in mint condition. Just waiting for the snow tires to come in so I can get off the Advan's. Gonna spend the cash for new Advan's on the BBS.

I sent about 3 PM's yesterday in the for-sale areas on stock wheels. I'm kinda hoping to find some BBS's at a decient clip and use the stock Enkei's for the snow tires. Tire Rack had Blizzaks @ 138 a piece (225/50 HR17)

Just for everyone's information:

225/50 17's fit with no problems according to tire rack, avoiding the steep bump in price for 45 series snow tires. (Plus a taller tire grips better in deep snow vs. a wide shallower tire.) The local shops said 215's would fit, but after a call to the Tire Rack guys they told me they were full of s**t, because you need a 8" wheel to fit over the Evo's brakes. It's little things like that that makes me happy shops like Tire Rack are around.

I go back and forth to Central Washington quite often, and I plan on keeping my Evo for a number of years, it's just a short term investment for safe of mind IMO.

That's what I got. Got 'em for around $105 in 235/45 from Discount Tire. Work great.

Bastid. Got me all excited for nothing. I thought "Hey there's going to be an Evo close to me!"

Glad to hear people are diggin the Hankook w300 icebears. I got 'em coming in for 99 each. Thought that sounded like a pretty good deal, made it easier to swallow the 260 each for new A046's. I'm sure I got reamed there!
