I spin mine to 8k daily pretty much and spin it to 8500 to cross the finish line without hitting the rev limiter in 4th

Good to know. That actually makes me feel a bit better.

FYI - I called a former coworker at Harbour Point Mistubishi today to order some oil filters and they have gone out of business, for good.

I spent 2 whole seasons at 8300 across the traps on stock valvetrain. When I checked the springs when upgrading they were within 10% of factory specs. I have yet to see a problem, and truthfully the car will pull really clean to 8k so thats why I have it set that way.

If you drag race you will want it that high, as Jason (GTisrule) said even roadracing its nice to have the extra room in 4th so you dont have to worry about shifting for a split second to 5th and then have to triple downshift.

Inneedof is part of our crew, he will log and make changes as needed and is in Puyallup for any of the rest of you. Please try to not abuse him though

see JB, this is why i always say you and lucas are the only guys, other than myself that i would let touch my Evo. I was testing a tune with a 7800 redline on my RS and was gradually raising it to see when the pull and saftey would start to fall off. i was doing this before i left, but now i guess you already did all the leg work! haha. Good ****. I was impressed with the hp turnouts you guys had, how did my mule car, aka Aaron's black 8, do? internet is so slow and i haven't been able to check. sorry for getting off topic, so i will put my 2 cents in, when i was doing testing, the car seemed to love the higher redline, for 9s it seems to give the car a chance to get some higher timing in there, near to what the 8s hit in the 7k rpm range. I never saw any notions of damage at 7800 or 8k. i would recomend getting a cable and monitor your car regularly, it can help prevent any heavy damage. congrats on the tune bud.

Thanks! this car is my daily driver and I drive ALOT. Thats the only reason Im worried at all. Honestly I dont hit the limiter much so its probably not much of a problem.
