thoughts on how much this 05 is worth?

Hey, just checked out an 05 evo, wicked white with 27k on it.

Seller wants 19.5k

Mechanically sound

Issues: bottom of intercooler is pushed up (no leaks), hood and trunk do not line-up with fenders, small gashes in the dash, full sound system, powder coated wheels, a few chips in the paint, front lip is messed up, was repainted and has overspray on the sun roof (minor), scratches on the rear passenger side window from when it was stolen and ran into some bushes, back window tint is starting to bubble, completely bone-stock, can't think of anything else...

well, it was stolen and driven into the bushes, the first owner said that the seats ARE NEW, not reupholstered, so they probably were stolen

The owner that drives it now is not a car guy, I drove it yesterday and everything works, looked under the car and there was nothing to be alarmed about.

here are a few pictures:

How do you know its mechanically sound? Stolen? I doubt they babied it! Panels misaligned, etc. Run away!

There was no SE in '05.

Its an '05 with '06 wheels and seats, so yeah, its a theft recovery because those are the things likely to be stolen off an Evo.

Oh of course, but he did say it was a theft recovery, so it would just make me leery of the vehicle entirely.

well, it was stolen and driven into the bushes, doubt they stole the seats, and the seats (or so he said) were reupholstered by the first owner..... so I don't know... I don't understand why he would reupholster the interior.

The owner that drives it now is not a car guy, I drove it yesterday and everything works, looked under the car and there was nothing to be alarmed about.

Stay away from it, you can find a clean one for that price almost.

truth, avoid theft recovery's unless you want to do a bunch of work.

Evos are not easy to steal, if someone is going to go through the trouble they did more then run in into a bush

alright, sounds like a plan. The title is clean, and everything seems to check out, but I can see why you think it would be better to go somewhere else.

think I could get any of these down to 18k? Just wanna know your opinions since the market sucks and it's not at all a seller's market right now.
