Wow cheap price, find out the miles and stuff.

 

It prolly needs its 60k maint. Buy it for that price then take it to ER for the 60k and a tune! But sorry, I don't know crap about it. Look into it though.

first off, how much do you know about it at this point?

talk with the salesman, carfax, dealer vin inquiry?

 

I know very little at this point which is why I was hoping someone would know about it . I have the VIN number and am in email contact with the seller. I am in the process of learning as much as I can before I travel over there to look at the car. I have not spend the $25-$35 for the carfax yet but I will once I know enough to decide if I would like to buy it or not. Lets see what else... know of any major issues I should look out for on 2006 Evo's? I've owned an 05 one when they first came out for awhile and really enjoyed it.

Great price. Hell I would buy that and take the money you are saving and build the motor! You could have a 600hp evo for 25k! That what a lot of us paid for our stock EVO IXs. I would look into it but you can't really turn down a price like that... just my 2cents

Didn't notice you were in Yakima. There are a few of us in Everett, but I've never met this one. Driven by it a few times. Maybe someone local can take a peak first?

 

I know sometimes you can find someone that will run carfax for you. do a search.

Yeah I agree. 17K for a IX is awesome. You can just put money into fixing it if anything is even wrong with it and still come out ok.
