Off to English

Made the trek down to English through the snow "storm" yesterday. Cams, springs, retainers, fuel pump, timing belt and tune. I'm like a kid waiting for christmas. Friday can not come soon enough!

Stock inj EVO tune is $300 on the dyno and once we have done your base tune then its $160 for re tunes there after until there is a injector change.

Car is on the lift today. Springs are installed. Should be ready for the dyno by tomorrow afternoon.

Maybe it's time to put up a WTB ad?

Let's not mislead anyone.

Give them a call and see what they have to say. The price may vary depending on a few different factors.

EDIT* Luke posted as I was typing. iFail.

Compare it to Surgeline, Pina, etc.

Look at what a Cobb Pro tune for a GTR costs (which is easier than an Evo)

Then compare it to a GIAC flash for a Porsche.

After that compare it to UGR Motec tune on a Gallardo.

That is why Eric said nearly free, it is definitely way less than we could charge for the level of return. I say this based on an Evo X for instance or a TOTALLY stock IX. You flash it and the X picks up 70whp. 70whp for $300, what other mod will do that?

Take a IX, it makes 250 stock, tuned makes 270-280. 30 peak so not as impressive? Well then you look at power past 7k and it is up 80+whp. Mileage is better, response is better, its still safe, etc. If we charged the same amount for a tune as we do a cam install with parts (dollar per horsepower) the tune price would be several times higher than it is.

p.s. I still lub you Spencer

And the results are-

357/335 at 24.7psi peak

Once the stock O2 housing, stock intake snorkel, and cat are removed there will definitely be more to be had.
