Getting slammed at 30mph without expecting it rules, you guys should try it sometime.

I hope they total it, that is I'm hoping the frame or unibody is damaged. Who the **** wants to keep their evo after this kind of damage. The trunk pan is pushed in like 5"

Want to buy it back Jo????

4e0v8o Nov 29, 2005 08:15 PM

ouch......poor evo

Jim_Patterson Nov 29, 2005 09:01 PM

Get some better pics of the damage. Whats the rear quarters look like?

Cali2MDevo8 Nov 29, 2005 09:17 PM

never a good thing! Don't know about the "totalled" status. Doubt it.

EVSEVO8 Nov 29, 2005 09:19 PM

Ouch!!!! That sucks. Is that Jo's old car?

Evo666 Nov 29, 2005 09:58 PM

ouch that hurts! you would need a industrial strength buffer

LimPShoT Nov 29, 2005 10:03 PM

reminds me of when someone ran into me on the freeway in my RX7 a year of physical therapy+ settlement= 1 brand new 05 EVO GSR.

LimPShoT Nov 29, 2005 10:04 PM

But yeah i Feel your pain. OUch!

Autoxevo Nov 29, 2005 10:04 PM

Ouch! Wasnt this the day after you installed your evodave taillights?

voidhawk Nov 29, 2005 10:04 PM

Sorry to see that... it's fixable though, take it to a good body shop (e.g. Queen City Auto Rebuild) and it will be just like new.

voidhawk Nov 29, 2005 10:06 PM

On second thought - if it wasn't your fault and the other guy's insurance is paying, I would start thinking about a JDM IX bumper and carbon trunk ;).

4G63 T Nov 29, 2005 10:10 PM

You need a torch...

badhabit90 Nov 29, 2005 10:12 PM

full can of rally red spray paint should cover it...then buff to a high gloss

Towelie Nov 30, 2005 02:15 AM

I don't think the other persons insurance will cover me, I don't think their policy was up to date but they are investigating, but who knows.

My insurance already gave me the go ahead on getting repairs done, then they will seek reimbursement. I won't have to pay a deductible, and my rates won't go up.

Both C pillars are buckled, very slightly though. Doesn't this compromise the unibody?

I will be getting a quote from queens, Andre knows the owner/manager so I hope I get taken care. If I can't get it totalled, I would love to get aftermarket parts for the rear, but I'm not sure how to arrange that with the insurance company, or if they will even allow it. If it is totalled I hope they reimburse me for the aftermarket parts, and the $850 I just spent on new T1R's.

There is so many unknowns right now, it's depressing. Everything should be taken care of in terms of insurance in a few days, but it sucks having to wait, not knowing what will happen with the car.

Yep it's Jo's old evo.
