What's your favorite driving road?
It was nice out today so I took a couple hour drive up in the hills near Vernonia, OR. There are some great backroads in that area. My favorite so far is Pebble Creek Rd to McDonald Rd. It's rough as guts, nothing the Evo can't handle, and it has a lot of elavation changes. There are some good roads north of North Plains but those tend to have a bunch a cyclists on them.

In VA SR 151 and SR211 are some of my favorites.
Love the signature btw |
Next time lets make a drive:)

I like Chuckanut Rd. and going up Mt. Erie is always fun, short but fun!

+1 Chuckanut Rd and old highway 9 I think it is. Making another trip on the Dragon in NC, though this summer.

Green Valley road from Auburn to Flaming Geyser isn't bad.

I like making the Black Diamond/Green Valley loop or maybe even out to Enumclaw. Good way to burn up some E  |
I normally slow where the houses are, but still have some fun in the twisties. Maybe we'll have to go run through there sometime!

From downtown portland I use to ride Broadway - Humphrey - Skyline - Germantown rd every nice day on the way home from school.
I prefer to go on rides over drives, but race cars over bikes. |
Hwy 162 from ashland to Klamath Falls is a blast. The best all day drive is from yreka down Hwy 96 to Hwy299 to hwy 3 back to yreka

I like 503 up to Mt St Helens myself. Once you're far enough up, the chance of running into a patrol car are much smaller, and traffic is less if you go at the right time. Plus it's right in my backyard, so why not? :)

I'm a big fan of highway 112 between Port Angeles and Neah Bay. I also like SR-4 between Longview and 101.
This is one of the road trips I take when my girl is out of town and I can have the car all to myself :D |
