2013 Golf R

Bought a Golf R for a daily. Still have the Evo 8 and RA Sportback.

Anyway. Still stock for now, going to be tuning it with Eurodyne Maestro 7. I'll update this thread with progress on tuning and the car in general in case anybody is interested in these cars.

2013 VW Golf R
100% stock
91 oct

Looks like it hates 91 oct. Some logs I took today. I see lots of room and potential from these logs...

My observations:

1. Car seems to run really rich for DI.
- Low 11 to mid 10 AFRs at WOT. Lots of room for tuning here.

2. Boost seems inline with what I have read for the car stock.
- 18.5 peak dropping to 13 psi up top. Lots of room for improvement here

3. Seems like a good amount of timing retard going on
- Cleaning this up and getting a better timing curve in there should make the car much better.

3rd gear , WOT:

3rd gear WOT, little bit of 4th WOT, showing timing retard logged:

My good buddy is dailying his 11 GTI. Seem like great daily drivers, with plenty of room for tuning!

Saw wheat! Can't wait to see some dyno numbers out of this thing...if the fuel system could somehow manage to run e85 on the stock turbo, it would be so epic!

If you ever sell the car you will have hundreds of people wanting to buy your ross tech.
Now the bad news, a friend of mine that comes to a weekly car meet just fkuced his brand new Golf R(it didn't have his fort oil change yet). He mechanically over reved the engine to 9000rpm (down shifted two gear off) and did some head damage. Took the car to the dealer and his tune spotted and it gave a code of overrev and it recorded the rpms at the time of the failure. He is out of luck and with no warranty.

Just be aware but I will keep you updated with the progress of his built. He was going to have his head removed with some friends. I am not sure if he will post on VW Vortex. Speaking of VW vortex, are you there?, I am since 2005.
