Cory's "EvilTSI" at STM
96 TSI AWD Project: Evil
Cory works with us here at STM and before that, he was a painter... (understatement of the Century!) He did all the body/paint work to this beauty himself.
This car has already gone a 10.9@126 on the stock motor... next time around we're going to push the factory 4g63 a little harder and see where it will take us! This car has already lost a ton of weight since then and we are planning on a much more efficient set-up (what with the turbo stuffed in the front bumper and all... I think STM has a thing for that
)
2008 VIDEO: 10.94 @ 126: Stock Motor, DSM Link, GT30R
I know the Ricer has seen 10.0 passes and traps of 142 on the stock motor, and right now, there are a few Evo's out there trying to get the fastest stock-block 4g63 record, but I believe there is an AWD 1g out there that trapped 143 on his stock block...
Who knows what 2010 will hold.

Losing alot of weight here and getting rid of some of NY's finest erosion.

And it's coming together slowly...

I'll let Cory and Emery chime in on the latest details, but this car should be seeing some love very soon and I wanted to get everyone up to speed on what's going on with it.
Here's a few of the other goodies going into this car...

Yup, that's the hottest valve cover on the planet.

Cory, you gotta get that compressor cover done black though.
I just like to see all the black parts together

Over the winter I pretty much sold everything that was on the car, it's going to be a fresh start. Lately I've been accumulating parts and now... I've got a serious itch to start doing something.
While it is, was and always will be an ongoing project, this will be a "project". It will still be a street car for sure, but it saddens me to say I don't think it will ever be a dd again. I loved driving this car anywhere and everywhere and I will certainly miss it, but I've got bigger things in mind. Eventually I'll probably use it as an excuse to get another.

To go on top, a cover I did a while back. All cleanly shaven with -8's welded in done in satin black. My new intake manifold polished/anodized. Fuel rail that may need a coat of paint as blasting it before the anodizing process turned it a little gray for my liking. And of course STM's tank to rail and return kit.

Ends of the rails have been capped and a lower bar has been tacked into place.

I've also picked up the tig torch and started playing in the last few weeks (literally). I'm not sure which catch can I'm using yet, but im sure you can see where this is going...

Scored a decent set of black leathers and finally got the ambition to ****** the remaining black pieces from my rs. In doing so I removed close to 150lbs in the interior alone!! Not too sure how much I've lost overall, I'll be happy if I'm 2750ish while keeping all the stock body panels and stockish interior. Can't bring myself to do the carbon thing yet.
Gotta do something about the carpet...

A big thanks goes out to FIC for helping me out with these bad boys....

FIC 2150's
Fuel system is pretty much done now. Also I finally got my hands on a head flange, there will be some progress made by the end of the weekend.
