Was this a european spec Mirage that got 70 mpg, or a Canada/US spec Mirage that got 70 mpg?

I know north America has safety components that with weight usually affect overall mpg. If Mitsubishi managed anything north of 55 mpg freeway in a non hybrid I would be shocked, but it would sell well. However, I am worried it will end up with 33. Any numbers you can share?

Also, is the rumor of a Mirage Ralliart/Evo lite option still coming/being discussed?

I wonder what the price tag will be. If they are cheap, I might pick one of these little cars up.

I would think you would need a diesel and/or hybrid to get 70 MPG in that car.

I would like to know if they would make something like the Colt Ralliart using this car.

Looks like the use based 1.2L setup will get 44 highway MPG based on what I read in the youtube comments.
