Hi everyone. I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage (5G) with a SOHC 4G15 engine.

I recently knew that there is a 4G15 MIVEC Turbo engine coming in 6G Colt Rally Art cars. I was wondering if that engine would fit in my 5G mirage.

any one knows it?

Since it is a 4G15 engine, it should bolt on a F5M41 transmission (5 speed manual).

Not sure about the rest.

Any comments is appreciated.

its a new engine. from what i have been reading it *could* fit but it would be a pain. the orientation would be different (similar to how the 2g eclipse engine is transversed and wont fit in a 5th gen) it is the same story. so you would have to fabricate your motor mounts and do alot of reverse engineering. i came across that bit of information with people wanting to fit it into a proton. i would sooner go with a 4g64 swap and turbo that.

At least I know it has the same 5G engine orientation . Regarding engine mounts that is another story. Thy can be easyly fabricated and relocated.
