Mine's connected in stock configuration -- the rear fog lamp indicator lights up on the information display when it's turned on (two knob turns). That means it doesn't need to be turned on with the front fog lamps.

Great job on getting that light working!

Personally I think should have it standard feature, especially around here. Drivers don't seem to see each other anymore.. and it just worse in bad weather so to have any additional "bright" rear lighting would just be an small added margin of safety.

I snatched one up on ebay with socket and bulb for cheap. I have not installed yet. I will not be going through the headache of running from the fogs. I use my fogs anytime my lights are on anyway. I will be upgrading to a very bright LED and wiring into my tail lights. The lens will also be wrapped in smoked vinyl, with my OEM taillights once I get some time.

how did u do the wiring pipefish ,please tell me exactly how u did it. i want to control it using the factory switch and what type of bulb did u use . model number would be helpful. thank u so much for ur help

If anyone is still interested I have worked out the wiring in a 2009 Lancer, Etacs should be similar for other Mitsubishi's, so on my lancer the light shows on the dash when the rear fog light is on (enabled in Etacs) and the rear fog light lights up. so one turn of the fog light switch turns on the front fog, two turns turns on the rear fog.

Hey bud, i'm interested, I had my local mitsu dealer go in to Etacs via MUT III and the option for rear fog is there and so I had the tech turn it on. I rotate the light stalk to front fog and then again as if I had rear fogs and I hear a relay click under the dash, now I need to locate the wires and run to the rear of the car.

Light does not illuminate on the dash, not sure if that is because there is no current draw as if a light was attached. Anyone have any other info about this?

The plug is the C311 The green wire is the wire I have added, it's the power for the rear fog, the light on your dash should illuminate if the rear fog is enabled, mine worked even with out the connection.before you wire it up if you have a multi meter see if there is power from the pin I have shown you when you switch the fog light on.
