What did you do to/for your Outlander Sport (ASX / RVR) today?

Nice!. We get that much snow in central NY maybe 2x times a year. I definitely had to get rid of the factory tires, they sucked. I went with Hankook Kinergy PT's (98H, 860 AA. Probably not a popular option, but I love em and they last forever. So far they've been great.

Sounds like a good tire, I’ll keep those in mind when my factory tires are done, I’ve run hankook and had good luck with them, I need a dedicated snow around here, we can have snow pack ice covered roads for weeks before it warms enough to melt it and the snowmobiles pack it down pretty good, I’ll be plowing again in the morning I use a Honda pioneer 500 for that and after if it’s warm enough I’ll pull the plow and head for the trails, if it’s to cold I’ll take the OS and head for the trails

Looked good with the vehicle color. I'm thinking of Enkei Lusso's

Or something with that look. I like black for the contrast (Mine is the Octane Blue), but I like the machined lip look on the OS's

LED turn signals
Replaced the turn signal bulbs with LEDs. The ones I bought apparently have some built in load resistors, so if you only change the rear ones and keep the incandescent bulbs at the front you would not need to purchase and install load resistors at all. If, however, you wish to change all four bulbs for LEDs you need to install one load resistor on each side to prevent hyper flashing. Different brands have different ECU sensitivities so I can imagine that for some brands other than Mitsubishi they could work all around without load resistors. When checking whether your new LED bulbs hyper flash use the turn signals and not the hazard lights. Hazard lights will never hyper flash. Due to the very short electrical cables in the front, it is much easier to install the resistors to the back. I fixed them below the tail lights in the cavity of the bumper. Drilled a small hole to the bumper holding metal bracket (visible once you remove the tail lights) and attached the resistors there for sufficient heat dissipation with a small screw. The increase in brightness and the rapid on-off response makes the turn signals way more noticeable.

Nice job and serves the purpose. I would not worry about the exhaust. The heat shields have given to me problems as well (see #878 and 924 in this thread) but the exhaust itself is OK.

On my 2011 OS SE AWC, last Spring had rear hatch rust repaired and repainted (for cheap thanks to my local community college auto body program ;^). Recently replaced tie rod ends, front wheel bearings, had an alignment done, replaced rear brake rotors & pads (and one caliper... grr). Hopefully the exhaust will be the last item before my son takes it back to college in January.

- Anyone had problems with rear brake pads falling out of the caliper?
- What are you all doing for exhaust 'intermediate pipe' rusting through? OEM replacement or exhaust shop cut & weld?
