2013 vs 2014 airbox

Sorry guys but I am new to Mitsu world after being in VW land for 8 years. I thought the 2013 and 2014 airbox were the same? Now that a good drop in filter is not available I am thinking of a short ram. RRM has theirs listed for 2011-2014. Injen is 2011-2013 but not 14. Did it change again in 2014? Look at the picture. The front snorkel appears different. There is a big shroud over mine where it terminates at the grille. Has anyone put a short ram on their 2014? I have an inquiry into Injen.

The airbox looks the same as our 2013s, but from what I can see...
There is a change - Looks like Mitsu altered the MAS sensor (the unit looks very different from mine) and it's mounting arrangement, causing it to have that lengthy cable looping over the top of your (corner) airbox.

for reference, here's mine >

You bet.

When you get a change take a pic of your filter.
Just so we can confirm it's the same as the 2013s... at least (for future reference.)

The good people at Road Race Motorsports are looking for a 2014 Outlander Sport to test the Short Ram on. If any one in their area is interested give them a call/email. The 2014 appears to have changed the MAF sensor and they want to make sure the fitment is correct on their current product for the 2011-13. Thanks

Thanks for the info about Road Race Motorsports. I've had my eye on their short ram intake for my 2014 OS and I actually just emailed them prior to reading this thread. I asked about estimated hp/torque/mpg gains with the intake. We'll see how they reply. I really want an intake bad and that appears to be the only one saying it fits the 2014.

I believe the 13-14 is the same, and the pre 13's are different ( same box as the evo which makes drop in filters endless).

I just picked up a Takeda intake and installed it last friday. I will post up a thread about my findings and the install.
