How to install EVO X smoked sidemarkers on Outlander Sport/RVR/ASX
When I saw these smoked LED side markers off an EVO X, I thought it would be a simple plug and play.

Of course it can't be that easy. After all, this is an Outlander Sport/RVR/ASX and not an EVO X.
So first unclip your OEM sidemarker by pushing the light towards the rear of the vehicle, and it should come off easily. The simple part is unplugging it.
From this picture, you can see how close they look.
When you try to put the EVO X side markers on, it will not clip on because the clip is just a few millimeters off to where you literally couldn't push the EVO X side markers on. So instead of filing the body of the car to make the light work, I cut a few millimeters off the clip to make it fit. I figure, if this whole thing didn't work, I can put the OEM side markers back, and I would have just ruined a set of aftermarket EVO X side markers instead of damaging the fender in any way. In this picture you can see where I cut the clip to make it slide easier into the hole.
Then I found out there are six little lines on the EVO X side markers that you have to shave/file/cut off. Otherwise, the light doesn't sit flush against the body. Once you get that off, I suggest using good ol' 3M double sided tape, to make sure the EVO X side markers are nice and snug.
Plug the light back in and test before finally installing the EVO X side markers, because the 3M tape, is very strong, as it's the same material to put body panels on OEM vehicles.
So it's not as bad as it sounds, but it's not as easy as I thought when I first bought them. They DO NOT just simply swap right over. This literally took about 15 minutes. Definitely worth the money if you ask me.

Not a problem at all.
My absolute last resort was smoking the OEM ones as well, but these are sleeker and are LED. Truly, the light output from the OEM side markers are definitely brighter by a long shot, so don't get these if you want brighter. You can definitely tell the LED matches the LED rear turn signals seamless without delay unlike the OEM ones. Like Terrence mentioned, they are a great compliment to the taillights and of course our dark *** tint.

From the photos, those LED side markers looked like they were using CREE LEDs, so I would have imagined them being much much brighter... (Especially when you consider them being housed in smoked lens. They should/need to be brighter than OEM. Oh well..)
Thank you for giving us the heads up.
