OT: How easy is to steal an drive away with a KOS equipped car?

Many people like the push-button-start and the associated keyless entry.
Here is the latest security related news, where people (engineers) made a device for a couple of bucks and could beat the security system of such cars. The device was featured in a security conference to raise awarness:

The remedy seems unappealing: keep your KOS fob in a Faraday cage.

I have an ammo can that's grounded to your computer's power supply.
Toss my FAST keys in there at night.
