Gatsby's 2016 Outlander SEL
This post is a bit overdue, but hey, better late than never, right?
I traded in my Laguna Blue 2014 Outlander Sport ES FWD for a Quartz Brown 2016 Outlander SEL AWC back in early October of 2016. So far, I absolutely love the thing. It was a strange buying experience due to my considerations were either the Outlander or the Mirage, which is sort of an apple or an orange type deal, lol. In the end, The Outlander did sacrifice MPG but had more options; and it really felt like I was getting what I was paying for. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...e239476522.jpg Farewell to the old outlander sport, put 45k on this sucker lol :) ... and hello to 2016 Outlander SEL AWC w/ Premium Package in Quartz Brown w/ Beige Leather https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...a7879bcf1b.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...15b5940b06.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...8bca9df4b0.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...0098679d5b.jpg New entry scuff guards (front) https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...5674ebc7f1.jpg New entry scuff guards (rear) https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...555304cf23.jpg My Outlander (Brown) next to my mom's 2016 Outlander Sport (Red) It ended up costing just a tad more than I was hoping for, but I enjoy every minute of driving it. So far I haven't really done anything to it, since I did go for most option available from the factory. But I did had new entry way scuff guards and roof rack crossbars to hold my bike racks. I don't really plan on doing too much to it other than adding darker tint, possibly changing out the head unit to one that has android auto in the future, and getting a hitch so I can possibly get a small flat trailer for misc. supplies (remodeling my house, I don't particularly wish to have drywall and such in/on my car, lol) |
Looks great!

Nice upgrade.
You'd be very surprised how much the aluminum pulley and timing controller from RRM wake up that 2.4. Guy at work as a lancer, and he can't keep up or gets lost on the interstate. There is a bit more body roll that I like, but I fabbed a solid strut bar and it's really helped. Only complaint I have about the Big O, is the visors don't give enough coverage down the side of the windows. They need an extender. |

So far I'm pretty undecided if I'll do too much to it, but I would like; - OEM larger spoiler - Hitch & wiring harness (keep debating this one, not sure) - hood protector (those dang rock chips) - mud flaps - tinting the windows darker Although with remodeling a house, it's a toss up on how long it'll take me to set aside money for the vehicle rather than the house, haha  |

Have you noticed any change in mpg since changing the timing controller and the pulley? Right now I don't mind being slightly sluggish, but I also wouldn't mind a little more pep :)

Keep a focus on remodeling the house (where necessary). You will most likely get a good return on the house mod verse car mod. ;) Oh, and definitely get a hitch! |

If you go hitch route, I have a brand new wiring kit that never got installed on my wifes OS. Package is open, but all is there! I'll give you a killer deal on it :)

A hitch is just an open door to a trailer though

I will for sure! It will be a lengthy process though. Cabinets were delivered in 71 boxes .
How big is your kitchen!? That's a lot of cardboard...
