this is a great idea to do on your way back. IMO, unless you are extremely certain of the tune that will be on the car when you buy it, I wouldn't even push it until you get up to ER.

If you don't already have it, AAA premium (or whatever) will tow you 200 miles. Not a bad thing to have in the case of emergency. Best of luck!

Aaron,
What do you suggest for the guys that don't want to run an O2 dump? Is there any upgrade from the standard aftermarket O2 housings (e.g. titek) that we should be looking at?

If you don't want to run 02 dump, I would recommend running after market intake manifold and and after market 02 housing.

TiTek is still the king there though I think they have sinced discontinued the O2 housing. I believe there are other high flow offerings from JMFab that arent dumps though

you make it sound like the car will blow up if its not tuned by Aaron...

not talking down Aaron's skills or anything, but chance's are he'll be to drive it from cali upto English without it blowing up

You read way more into that. I don't care where he goes to get tuned, though I would highly recommend English Racing. What I'm saying is that it is a long drive from CA to WA on a tune that he may not know on a car he may not know from a previous owner he may not know. Everyone loves pushing these cars when driving them, especially for the first time. What if the previous owner went mod crazy, had a crazy tune, and then put everything back to stock except the tune? What if the previous owner was a douche-waffle and "tuned" it to overboost?

What I quite literally said was unless he is extremely certain of the tune that will be on the car when he buys it, he shouldn't even push it... The last part "...until you get up to ER" is given the fact that he is talking about hitting ER on the way back. The AAA part of my comment was I'd hate to hear about him getting stuck in Northern CA or Southern OR in the middle of nowhere. Again, I'm not assuming he knows who he's buying the car from. Let me know if that requires any more clarification.

But its based on a map I made for him that day so I really tuned the car. Evo Xs are typically fine tune, everything else is set though.
