Street racers blamed on South Seattle shooting

By KOMO Staff July 5, 2012 SEATTLE - A driver who refused a street-racing challenge was shot early Thursday in South Seattle.
Police say the man was driving down Martin Luther King Jr. Way at about 2 a.m. with two other people in a red car when a group of men in a silver BMW tried to flag him over for a race.
The driver of the red car ignored the challenge. But when he refused to stop, the group in the silver BMW followed him to the 7700 block of the roadway. A passenger in the BMW fired multiple shots into the red car, hitting the victim in the upper leg.
The driver of the red car made it home, where his mother called police soon after the shooting.
An ambulance took the victim to Harborview Medical Center. He's expected to fully recover, but detectives have few leads about the would-be racer, who sped away from the scene after the shooting.

Yeah, they left out the part how the Honda was doing ricer flybys on the BMW, cut him off 1/2 dozen times and probably a brake check or three. I guarantee you there's a lot more to this story that the media is completely missing...
