Well guys, BrianAWD just informed today Olsons no longer carry's E85 as of this last week. Does this really mean were down to one station, Jays Garage? Ive been hesitant to go there cause Ive always seen them at $0.50-$1.00 more per gallon that Olsons.. Might not have a choice anymore..

Will we soon have no option?

With the fall in gas prices, I was afraid this would happen. I've always filled up at Jay's so it doesn't affect me directly. The attendants at Jay's say that their E85 volume is pretty high, and they don't anticipate discontinuing it. Far from any guarantee though.

Well that's at least moderately comforting but hopefully the lack of competition doesn't jack the price up even further. If we lose E85 I'll be heavily considering ditching this whole 4cylinder thing for v8 pastures.

can Olson still order / sell drums? or are we going to be all going to English for ethanol now? May as well just start running straight E98 if I'm buying from them.

Spoke with Jay's yesterday. Their E85 sales are good and have no plans to discontinue it.

Will they fill/sell drums? I would like to start buying in bulk this summer as I live an hour or so east on 84.

I don't see why they wouldn't fill up as many drums as you showed up with.

someone needs to start growing/cultivating seaweed and making us up some ethanol. I have some land in Monroe if you need to use it. Better yet, if you can figger out how to turn blackberry bushes into ethanol, we're set!

Moving back home to Oregon from Cali... Anyone got a update on the E85 situation? Is it still Jay's only?

Jay's is it. I now take two 5-gallon jugs with me when I fill up so that I don't have to go down there as often. I probably should get two more.

Since mine is less of a street car, I just drive the touareg there with 4 cans and fill up. Lasts me a couple weekends usually. If I track the car I'll drive down there and fill up the car and 4 cans knowing all burn through it quick.

That's pretty much what I am doing now. I do not have a 91 tune on the car at all now though and I think I am going to make sure to get one of them on 91 oct. Thanks for the info guys.
