I wonder what improvement a Cobb AP would do for me! :D

Damn I'm really itching to get the car tuned after seeing those numbers. I already own an AP so I guess I'll just wait.

It's like you can hear the MGS encounter music in your head while you decide whether or not to spend it.

Those stock numbers look pretty good...very close to what the stage 1 cobb tune gets on the 2008/10 models.

Is it even worth getting the cobb ap if the stock tune is so good on the 2011 model? How much improvement can the cobb tune get?

Yes, this was my thought as well. I had sent an email to Cobb, asking about the map for 2011 models and I did get a reply indicating it would be released very soon.

They've been saying "very soon" since November...

This is kind of like what's going on with PSN right now. Lol.

If the 2011 maps r done and you guys r just waiting on the AP revisions I say throw up the numbers for all the staged maps to feed the forums ... is that asking too much?

sfearl1 May 13, 2011 01:55 PM

^^ that, or throw up the maps and let me flash mine with the current software. i'll be satisfied with the maps for now, then when the software and firmware are both finished, that will be icing on the cake.

my 2 cents: i'm part of a 7 person web development team here at work, and i know what it's like to work on and roll out iterations of software... it really can be unclear at times when the product will be finished. but our iterations and revisions are made in small, logical steps, with ETA's and feature lists for each iteration. telling customers "soon" for however long they've been saying that, is IMO unacceptable. especially for a product they're currently selling that does not provide support out of the box. furthermore, releasing all of these features in this "massive update" is only going to cause havoc and nightmares for their support team if this "massive update" has issues.

if you're going to sell a product for the amount of money you're charging for the AP, the least you could do would be to tell it how it is - "soon" just doesn't work. provide a realistic ETA and details on each featureset. release featuresets in shorter bursts, not huge updates that aggravate customers and could potentially cause a bottleneck when said features are released.

/rant

ps. still super-stoked for the update ;) just annoyed i've seen "soon" 10 different times.

I dont think you guys get it. If the software were done in order to produce the map to flash the car i would have them out to you last month. The software needs to produce eh right files to flash the car properly, we have been clearing bugs and old code to get everything just right. I cant put a map on a car that might not work because of a bug. As soon as its fixed and tested it will be delivered. Soon means SOOOOON like real soon not far away soon
