I do have already some Evo 9 ROMs disassembled but I don't have any commented disassembly from some other developer so it will take some time to understand the differences to Evo 8 ROM. It would be also good to find a test car as I don't have anybody locally with Evo 9 who would be interested.

My car is running MAP EF2 and 1100cc FIC inejctors. No problems tuning with those.

If you or someone else were able to port to an 88590715 rom I would seriously offer my car for testing. It's my daily driver but isn't daily driven. Carpool for work and when with the family we rarely take my car.

It's mostly stock. Open filter & Intake, Hard UICP, 3 port BCS, 3" Cobb TBE running ~21-22 psi stock tapering to 19 psi @ redline. I'm sitting on FIC 1100's & Wally 255 that I haven't installed cause I would have to drive about an hour north or south to get e85 which isn't practical for every day driving. Wouldn't mind buying the new FF sensor and ECA. Seen e85 for 60 cents cheaper than 91 oct near work yesterday, I'd go straight e85 if I didn't have to drive an hour to get it, thus Flex Fuel patch is very attractive.

Okay, I gotta ask especially now that there seem to be guys who have finally really gotten down SD and now we're delving in Flex fuel. Maybe this needs to go in another thread, and if so, please direct me to it.

Is anyone on SD also running the flex fuel and making big power (650+ whp)? If so, how is the drivability? Have there been any issues with tuning and scalibility of injectors and such, especially when running say a 2000cc injector? Also, any weird glitches or hiccups s far?

The reason I ask is because now that this is finally a reality, and now that there are tuners out there who have mastered speed density on the stock ecu, I'm considering making the switch back from standalone.

My original question still stands, but with the expansion of whether or not any vendors have yet to try this as well.

This seriously opens up a world of options for me especially because I often move. Some of the places I move to have ethanol readily available, some don't.

Good stuff dude. I'll test this out on my drive to California from Texas here shortly. First I will find one of these sensors and have it shipped quickly if I can. I have to re-do my pump/93 tune anyways as I have just switched to E85 and sorted out all of my fueling issues.

I can log what the sensor thinks I have fuel-wise and fuel/timing maps over a period of time unless someone beats me to it.

It's been a while since I disassembled/reassembled anything heh.

EDIT: Found/Stole a picture of the aformentioned cheaper sensors from Chev/Holden 1.4L Cruze E85 FlexFuel Conversion

I'll let you know about this risk I just took :/

13352241 - Harness - $9.60

Let us know how it turns out. Your setup in your signature is somewhat close to mine and I'm really curious how it performs.

@evoready. I ordered those parts last week. They are on national backorder.

Any patches for 9417 family roms as it uses raw load for fuel and timing, which IMHO is better for people still on the MAF...

+1

Thanks for doing this!!!{thumbup}

Hi

this sensor outputs frequency.
How do you convert the signal to a voltage one before send it to the ECU ?

Did you read the thread? The answer is on the first page. There's another device needed ;).

Looks good...
What Rom are you using?

+1 STLEVOIX on the sensor location.

+1 - I see you're driving an '06 so I'm thinking there is a good chance you're running an 8859 rom. You're really making me itch to get this.

Does that new flex fuel sensor just happen to mount to the backside of the intake manifold or have you fab'd something up?
