Project is almost to finish. I supose we finish it and to be ready for dyno in 2-3 weeks.
Some pics will come soon. thanks Spyros |
What kind of clutch are you using for this? Also, are you using a custom crank? What about fuel system and engine management?

Not hitting on the companies but a short powerband like this ones could be great. If you hooked it up a auto with high stallspeed or something. But let's face it, it's hooked up to a manual transmission. So I'm more impressed with a faster one i.e managed to get most of the combination of stroke/cam/head/turbo compared to the gear ratio instead of just a peak number. And I would say the US tuners have come pretty far on that one |
Well for one I am definitely impressed with the amount of knowledge you have on building these motors. Must be more of a demand for high horsepower 4G63 engines in Greece than I thought.. But in all honesty it does seem like kind of a waste if there's no where to properly test out all of this R&D work. But I guess if chasing record crank horsepower numbers and high trap speeds is all that matters to you guys then hey, to each his own! {thumbup} lol.
BTW it does seem kind of ignorant to claim you have the highest horsepower 4G63 motors when it's pretty apparent by just the trap speeds alone of some of the US cars that they are probably making as much if not more power than some of your motors.. But then again, there's more to making a car fast than who has the most horsepower. |

There are plenty of other factors related to how a car gets down the track other than how much power it puts out. Until someone puts an engine on an engine dyno and makes more hp and has a graph to prove it, these guys hold the title and have more than the right to say so. |
you sound like you kno what you're about, all the best with ur project
|
Thanks Spyros...Looking forward to working with you on this build:mitsu:

Dude, I am from Europe and there is many shops there and cars that you are probably not familiar with. For Evo tunning EU tuners are the best, no questions about it. We have Evo's there from early 90's you guys just get in that stuff in 2001.
US market never had Evo before. I live in US don't understand me wrong. But what that gentleman here is trying to clarify is that he built multiple different cars that exceed some US shops "claims" for "world record" HP. Which I am not surprise. Lots of shops here in US always act like they've built best most powerful car ever. He is trying to show what they accomplished there because he got tired of listening of people bragging abut "most powerful" whatever... And I am not surprise their numbers are good. I've seen myself bunch of evos and Escort Cosworth etc. running ridiculous power in EU. It is different world that you don't know so don't argue for no reason. Post your pictures, because maybe you're 15.. ? If you want research his shop search online, I am sure he's got web page. Quote:

theyve just got the evo but the sure as hell got the 4g63 around the same time
|
I really don't get how you come into a thread about maximum HP telling the US companies they have it wrong for making power with the 4G63. When it comes down to it, I'm thinking the first (and only) 4G63 to go into the 6s was from North America.
That aside, the original poster is definitely doing some cool **** with the 4G63. |
If you can make 1.2kwhp... then you can make 1kwhp more reliably than the guy who just touched 1kwhp. My 2 cents.
props to making power. |
damn...i would sell my nut for that red evo lmao and DD it haha
|
WOW!
btw, congrats on greece's win over nigeria:) |
Those copper-beryllium valve seats look pretty.
